Prineville Endurance Ride

We have a new addition to the family and it doesn't have four legs. Meet Keira Rae Pfeiffer!
After taking the 2007 endurance season off having a baby, I was very excited to start the 2008 endurance season. At three weeks old, I found out that my daughter had Cystic Fibrosis. So a couple of friends and I decided to make this endurance season really count. We created Team CFC which means Team Cystic Fibrosis Challenge. Basically we got caring people to sponsor us per mile or a flat donation for how many miles we could do in a season. We were hoping for 230 miles. Prineville was our first Team CFC race and we all were excited to start.

Team CFC had a great start. We completed 25 miles at Prineville with the horses feeling well and the humans a little sore. We are excited for the next race, the "Hat Creek Hustle."
