Kelsey is a buttermilk dun. Besides being a great broodmare, she is also one of our top saddle horses here on the ranch. She is great on cattle, and is as "at home" in the mountains as anywhere else. She's had several foals, out of several different stallions, and so far has never thrown a spot of white. She's the queen of the horses, that is "worth her weight in gold". She is currently being used for endurance.

This year has been our first year doing endurance. We have two starts under our belt and two finishes with hopefully many more to go. Currently we have been at pulse when coming into the vet check. But her pulse rate is very quick to recover when pushed. We also have been vetting with high marks. Kelsey just loves it. I picked the most laid back horse in the field to be my endurance horse, but she has worked out great because she doesn't get worked up and just sets into a pace and can keep it for miles and miles and miles. I was worried that she wouldn't like endurance due to her nature of being laid back but she is always at the gate waiting for me to get home so that I can take her out for a conditioning ride.
